%3Cdiv%3EI%20upgraded%20to%20a%20Class%204%20-%20Major%20because%20there%20is%20more%20than%20just%20heavy%20snow%20will%20this%20system.%20Freezing%20rain,%20sleet,%20and%20windy%20all%20expected%20to%20add%20to%20the%20overall%20impact%20which%20looks%20to%20be%20statewide.%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv%3E%3Cbr%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv%3EThis%20forecast%20is%20a%20blend%20of%20all%20models.%20Each%20event%20is%20different%20and%20each%20model%20has%20their%20tendencies.%20I%20think%20the%2012GFS%20was%20too%20far%20east.%20Both%20the%20EC/GFS%20will%20occasionally%20overdo%20snow%20amounts%20at%20the%20snow/sleet/rain%20boundary.%20I%20always%20taper%20that%20back%20and%20it%20hasn't%20failed%20me%20yet.%20I%20like%20the%20EC%20for%20this%20event%20for%20placement%20of%20the%20heaviest%20snows%20and%20tried%20to%20build%20around%20that,%20not%20necessarily%20amounts.%20I%20like%20the%20NAM%20for%20amounts.%20Mostly%20trying%20to%20get%20on%20the%20right%20level/magnitude%20with%20this%20one%20then%20boost%20later%20if%20needed.%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv%3E%3Cbr%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv%3EI%20trimmed%20way%20back%20across%20Minneapolis%20because%20I%20saw%20a%20weakness%20there%20having%20to%20do%20with%20being%20in%20between%20forcing,%20lower%20QPF,%20and%20snow%20ratios%20that%20are%20not%20particularly%20helpful.%20I%20would%20rather%20emphasize%20the%20main%20band%20across%20central%20Wisconsin%20and%20pull%20back%20on%20the%20fringes.%20I%20may%20have%20cut%20too%20deep%20but%20will%20let%20Minnesota%20be%20the%20guinea%20pig.%20On%20the%2012z%20run%20I%20saw%20a%20lot%20of%20places%20around%206%22%20in%20the%20Minneapolis%20area.%20We'll%20see!%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv%3E%3Cbr%3E%3C/div%3E
