85 0Scattered thunderstorms are expected in northern Wisconsin Monday afternoon and evening. Organized thunderstorms with large hail appear to be the main threat, one or two cells could be quite formidable. Surface moisture is lacking and 0-1km shear profiles weak serving to reduce tornado potential. I do like the veered soundings and all short range models have action up there. Confidence is high.
SPC discussion issued earlier today for Monday highlights the setup well...
Text from SPC outlook issued earlier on Sunday.
The SPC will have more updates Monday morning.
I'm not planing to chase this event due to work and forested terrain in the north but will be watching the radar closely wishing I was up there. Take care!
