FEB 12, 2020 | Light Snow Tonight

LAST UPDATE : FEB 14, 2020

10:00 AM - Latest models less snowy on today's runs...back to what it was showing two days ago with a 2-4" in southeast WI. It's coming through in pieces so the timeframe is large but it won't take up that entire time. I trimed shortened the end time to 6am. Thursday early morning snow will be mainly confined to southern WI and lake Superior regions. Northern WI was cut back the most..down to T-1" in portions of the NW. Lake effect of 4-6" in the usual areas along Lake Superior.

9:30 AM - I'm pushing out a website update in the next 30 minutes. Will update this forecast after that.

1:00PM Tuesday - Models today a tad snowier for Wisconsin overall but still on the minor impact side. As much as locally 6" on the GFS/NAM down along the WI/IL border in southeast WI. Boosted to a 3-5" in the SE. Models show that northern WI may see the least amount of snow. All comes down to the convergence and phasing of two waves of snow over the state which probably won't come together perfectly. The impact looks highest on the Thursday morning commute in southern Wisconsin.

Interesting phasing of snowfall waves over Wisconsin Wednesday night. This adds to complexity of the forecast
