1:50PM - THU MAR 26 - A large storm system will bring warmer temps and rain this weekend as multiple rounds of precipitation push north through the state.
Models show potential for 1.0-1.5" in some areas. EC/GFS/CAN seem to generally focus highest amounts on southern WI. I think that's probably a good place to start but at this forecast hour it's still okay to wait. There will be multiple rounds with a lull or two in-between, not raining the entire time for most places. Thunderstorms are possible too. Please see the other storm event for Saturday for details. https://www.wisconsinwx.com/storm.aspx?s=209
Snow may mix in at times over northern Wisconsin however not expecting any significant accumulations at this time. I used a target area over Minnesota for potential of 1.0-1.5" of rainfall, but that will depend somewhat on precipitation type as some models show some snow. PROBABLY going to be mostly rain there based on what I'm seeing.
