JUL 25, 2020 | Strong T-storms Possible in NW Wisconsin Tonight

LAST UPDATE : JUL 25, 2020

SAT 8:54AM - took a small step back with verbiage for this afternoon/evening. Latest models less aggressive but will continue mention of severe. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms expected in the region NW/W of Eau Claire. Severe weather is possible but overall widespread threat remains low.

FRI 1:08PM - Morning scattered t-storm activity will gradually weaken during the mid day hours.T-storms then to redevelop in and south of the Minneapolis, MN region and make a run across the Mississippi River. Some of these storms could become severe. Questionable how far north the instability will get so I've hedged the SEVERE zone slightly further south. Some models suggest t-storms will spread into northeast WI during the overnight but the greatest potential for storms will be to the west. Overall widespread threat appears low.

Confidence is NORMAL. Overall impact remains MINOR.

THU 1:44PM - Severe t-storms possible in the Minneapolis, MN region on Saturday afternoon/evening. Getting absolutely pummeled at home with family stuff today and last seven days. I hope to find more time tonight or Friday to update this forecast in greater detail. - JP
