TUE 11:13 AM - Everything looks on track. No changes.
MON 11AM FORECAST
NORTHERN WI - A mid level short wave will drive a region of snow, possibly mixed with rain at times...through the north starting late Tuesday afternoon. 2-5" of accumulating snow is likely from Minneapolis to Turtle Lake to Eau Claire. A few models support locally higher amounts near 6" in that region. I feel the 2-5" is a safer prediction at this time given 1. early season 2. weak low level system 3. poor agreement for higher amnts. We'll see!
Warmer temperatures will lead to more rain across northeast Wisconsin (and all rain in the south/east). There looks to be a sharp gradient from near Stevens Point up through Iron Mountain. West of that line accumulating snow is likely while east of it is unlikely.
The system will end for most by 12AM Wednesday with a bit of light snow for upper Michigan continuing into the early AM hours.
