OCT 1, 2019 | Strong T-storms Possible in Southern WI

LAST UPDATE : OCT 1, 2019

TODAY & TONIGHT - There is still a considerable amount of low level moisture ahead of the cold front in southern Wisconsin. I've zoned it STRONG. Wouldn't be a major severe threat, if anything; maybe some hail or damaging wind gusts. Lapse rates are weak. Shear is veered but weakest in the lowest 0-1km limiting the tornado threat. Storms will move off the cold front towards the east so probably not getting that ideal boundary interaction. Organized structures are possible. Will be keeping an eye on it. This threat will extend into the evening hours with multiple rounds of thunderstorms possible in southern Wisconsin where there also exists a Flash Flood Watch.

HRRR simulation for this afternoon, better chances for thunderstorms tonight. Strong storms not out of the question
